How GSP spent his first $1M from the UFC
Two years after making his professional MMA debut Georges St-Pierre found himself in the UFC. The year was 2004, Dana White & the Fertitta brothers were entering their third year in ownership of the UFC, and GSP was starting his contract a $3,000 to show + $3,000 to win.
Within two fights the young Canadian found himself in title contention. He would lose this fight against Matt Hughes but it would become the catalyst for the rest of his hall of fame career.
GSP went on to become a multiple weight champion and one of the greatest fighters in the history of the sport with wins over MMA legends like Matt Hughes, BJ Penn, Nick Diaz, Michael Bisping, & many more.
