McGregor vs. Poirier 3 sells outs in seconds!

The trilogy fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier has sold out in seconds according to UFC President Dana White. The pair will meet at UFC 265 on July 10 and 20,800 fans will pack out the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

McGregor suffered the first TKO loss of his MMA career when he shockingly succumbed to strikes in the second round to Poirier in January in what was his big comeback fight after being out of action for twelve months. This fight took place on ‘Fight Island’ in Abu Dhabi and due to Covid-19 regulations only 2,600 fans were in attendance.

The duo first locked horns in 2014 and it was the Irishman who breezed through to a quick, one-sided victory. Now it seems that the trilogy fight will be the biggest fight of the year in MMA.

UFC 265 selling out comes hot off the heels of the promotion announcing big sell-out events in Jacksonville, Florida with UFC 261 on April 24 and in Houston, Texas with UFC 262 on May 15.

Three events, three states, 52,800 tickets. Seems like there is no slowing down for the UFC as they come out a guns blazing breaking away from the shackles of the Covid-19 pandemic.
